Was super excited to try this place! I've heard so much about BAMBU but never had a chance to try it until now! I got the combo che dessert which was good at first but since I'm a slow eater it eventually became too much for me. But it was really filling & reminded me of Che made at home to a certain extent. I might get something less heavy next time but I was happy to try it!

There was a sign at the counter listing specialty drinks. I ordered the salted caramel and asked if it was dairy free. The cashier said it was dairy free with a coconut milk substitute, not knowing it contained caffeinated coffee. They charged us the extra dollar for a coconut milk substitute. I assumed my order contained no dairy as requested, but my stomach said otherwise. Someone accidentally used dairy instead of coconut milk, or they used a caramel syrup that contained dairy.

I'm so glad Austin has BAMBU!

If I'm craving che, Bambu is my go to for this Vietnamese qq drink. If I'm not feeling boba, I'll get che. I loved Bambu when I lived in northern CA, and I was unsure if the quality of the che here would be the same. The ruling is in...it's exactly the same!! What a great relief! I will be back, especially if I am craving a sweet drink after dim sum at New Fortune.

I always go for their Che #2 special because it has SO many chewy things in it from pandan jelly to taro chunk (they put too much of this...it weighed down the drink instead of keeping it light and chewy). I wouldn't get the pineapple in it next time, as it was too many flavors going on at once, but I love that the price is the same as the other specials even with all of the other chewy adds in it. Delightful! Service is on it. There was only one cashier gal working the orders, and I'm not sure how many che makers behind the scenes...but I only had to wait about 10 mins for my drink to come out.

This is a bubble tea wonderland. Any combination of tea and pearls, fruit, jellies is available for your creation. I've been twice and the people working there were very nice and helped me pick out what to get. My boyfriend loves the Oreo smoothie. They have a treat for everyone here, even if you don't want tea. They have cute couches and chairs and even a small private room you can reserve. Would be a great meeting spot or study group spot.

Update: came back here to try out their pandan waffle. It takes a lil longer than their dessert drinks to prepare (bc it comes out hot and fresh) but well worth the wait. The waffle is crispy and a soft chewy inside. Pandan flavor is very light, not super present (could have some more flavor) but still good none the less). It comes in a to-go bag.
